Gresford Quilt Show 2016 North Wales

Lots of photos of our group's day out to the Gresford Show. Eleven members travelled via public transport from Liverpool to North Wales and, as usual, we were so lucky with the weather and very kindly it only rained whilst we were indoors.

The old school house serves as tea rooms and there are always delicious home made cakes, sandwiches and salads available.
Whilst we do indulge in tea and cake, later in the afternoon, we must confess that this our traditional lunch.

The church has a long history and many interesting tales connected to it. There are many ancient yew trees which King Richard II ordered to be planted to provide the wood for archery bows in his wars. The oldest below is over 1600 years old. What tales it could tell.

The lady was helpful in telling us how this technique is made.
