Christmas Fete at St Mary's
It was a good day at the Christmas Fete despite the bad weather, wind and rain all day, people (and even Father Christmas) paid us a visit. We took hardly any items back home with us and a fair bit of cash has gone between a charity, our group and some to the church funds. Thanks to everyone who supported and helped us.

Patchwork Windmill Bags
Today at Cornerstone Quilters we returned to a modicum of normality after all the work putting together our recent successful exhibition.
We enjoyed an easy project making Windmill tot bags from panels which members prepared in advance at home.
It is so interesting to see the many different choices of fabrics, patchwork and colour ways selected by the group.
Two of our group members celebrated special birthdays and so we send congratulations and all good wishes to Joan and Marj.
Big thanks go to Joan who brought in a gorgeously decadant cake that she made for us to share.
Panels ready to be sewn together into bags
The bag (above) was made from panels cut from random scraps sewn together (see pic below)

Aprons from our Exhibition
Rather than wear a sash, a scarf, or a silly hat to identify group members to our visitors, we decided that we should all use our sewing skills and make aprons to wear at the exhibition. These were such a great success and greatly admired by our visitors as well as adding a little bit of fun. In fact a group of our visitors are taking up the idea for their exhibition!
Sorry that I missed out on photos of a few but here are several of the Cornerstone Team in full regalia as they busied around the show.
Heh, heh, I just had to show this pic taken inadvertently until I realised that the NIC of the top word was obliterated (see top pic for full version). ..... Sorrrrrrryyyy, but you've just got to laugh!
