Kathy's perfectly appliquéd baby quilt with such lovely colours of gingham and cute motifs.
Brenda also made two lovely baby quilts, very kindly for a charitable cause.
Really effective with the sashing to frame the super nursery fabrics.
Thanks to Sue who showed us all how to make these beautiful Japanese style trinket boxes at our last meeting and well done to Pat Mc who is the first to complete, not only one, but two sizes.
Well done too, to Caroline who finished her hand stitched hexagon table centre.
Veronica hand stitched clam shells for a really effective cushion cover as well as making 9 syringe driver bags to donate to the local Macmillan nurses appeal.
There were 20 syringe driver bags made this week by various members so a huge thanks to everyone who made the effort.
Please remember that the Macmillan nurses have to pay £10 each for this little piece of necessary equipment for the patients so we are saving this essential service so much in valuable funds when we make and donate them, so do keep up this good work.
It was excellent that there were some suitable fabrics for bags for male patients, who were not forgotten this time.
Val made this fabulous name bunting for her new twin grandsons.
and last but not least, our newbie member, Maria, turned up with a great pair of heat proof quilted oven mitts.
I think she is giving us a puppet show with them here!
A wonderful result for the first meeting of August.
Well done to everyone and we still have another meeting this month so let's see what else comes in.
